Recently, I had the opportunity to review a great tool to help you say, "Buh bye" to all those excuses-FitDeck, exercise playing cards.
If you've got a sweet social life like me, you may have seen Phil Black, CEO of FitDeck on the popular Friday night TV show, Shark Tank. In case you missed it, let me fill you in on what an awesome product this is. FitDeck is a set of 50 exercise playing cards designed for all fitness levels. Each card is printed with the exercise name, suggested repetitions based on ability level (beginner, intermediate, advanced), body part exercised, a picture of the movement and a written description.
With a convenient plastic carrying case and small enough to fit in your back pocket, you can take the FitDeck anywhere. Shuffle and reshuffle for a new workout every single time. Short on time? Get through as many cards as you can (with good form) as time allows. Or pick a handful of cards and repeat them in same sequence like a circuit.
Aside from the fact you don't have to do any of the thinking with the FitDeck, what I really love is they have over 40 different options of "decks" to choose from. Some of my favorite options include...
- FitDeck Bodyweight
- FitDeck Dumbbell
- FitDeck Yoga
- FitDeck TRX
- FitDeck Office- yes like stretches and moves you can do from your desk!
- FitDeck Prenatal
- Fit Deck Postnatal
My favorite FitDeck however was a bit unexpected, the FitDeck Junior has been a huge hit with my four year old. Recommended for ages 4-14, the FitDeck Junior is filled with fun, kid friendly exercises like Star Jumpers, and Supermans. My little girl loves to pick the exercises herself. I do them with her and truthfully get a bit of a workout in myself. They even have a FitDeck Playground that I might have to pick up as well!
And, how awesome is this New Mama bundle of FitDecks that includes FitDeck prenatal, postnatal, stroller, and playground? Talk about a great baby shower gift!
The price varies from FitDeck to FitDeck but usually falls between $10-$15 a piece. This makes for a perfect birthday gift, stocking stuffer, or treat for yourself. And while I like the hard copy of the exercises there is a less expensive mobile app for many versions of the FitDeck available for smart phones.
The FitDeck is so awesome that it would just plain rude of me not to share all this goodness with my readers! So guess what time it is…..
Woot! Woot! I have one FitDeck Bodyweight sitting here, waiting to go to a good home. This FitDeck is the perfect introduction to exercise for the beginner but also challenging enough for the experienced fitness enthusiast!
